Who We Are

Darien Emergency Medical Service is a 501(c)3 non-profit volunteer ambulance service in Darien, New York. We share a building with the Darien Volunteer Fire Company but are a separate entity though we share many of the same volunteers! Our volunteers take pride in serving our community, taking on roles including, Ambulance Drivers, EMTs, and Paramedics. Our volunteers come from diverse backgrounds and may work full-time jobs as Construction Workers, Truck Drivers, Nurses, Teachers, Salesmen, Farmers, Mechanics, or even as First Responders in other areas such as Buffalo, Batavia, and Rochester. We depend on the generosity of our community and those around us for volunteers and donations. Our mission is simple: To provide 911 emergency medical services to the Town of Darien New York.
